This instant, just now, this makes sense to me. Jesus said, But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven.
It seems to me in my experience with Christians that major rejection of Jesus religion, Jesianity, is that we are sinful humans that are hideous to creator and only through Jesus sacrificing his blood can our sin be washed clean and therefore have us eligible to inhabit the heavenly kingdom.
Of course they never base this on the thousand and ten instructions and examples he was gave us in the gospels. He barely has a speaking role in christianity.
But this unforgivable sin that Jesus speaks of over and over, blaspheming against the holy spirit, denying the holy spirit. It is a stark refutation of this Christian argument against Jesus religion.
If you being evil know how to give good things to your children, how will your heavenly father if you ask for the Holy Spirit not give it to you? Paraphrase.
If you love me you will keep my words, Jesus said. And the father will love you, and the father and I will come and make our Abode with you.
Christianity can't give Jesus a speaking part because there could be no Christianity anymore than there could be the religion of the scribes and pharisees.
