I was attacked today, nothing physical or dangerous. Seek ye first the kingdom of god, those are the words and ideas that played through me and I'm so glad, it was such wonderful practice...
It was no big deal, but it was so gratuitously nasty, so out of the blue, so totally unnecessary that it literally took my breath away. A fellow that I've known to be just nasty, as negative as he can possibly be toward people, on an elf user group. I had shared a post about my experiences with a wonderful pedal gear that I thought would be useful to others and comments indicated that yes it was. And this poor twisted creep, out of the blue, what James says is absolutely irrelevant to this group. His vehicle is so heavily modified, ignore everything he says. Those were not exactly the words but pretty close. What? Like people in this group are so ignorant that they can't tell my vehicle is different and modified? Irrelevant? Maybe it's a really good testing of the limits for such things as the pedal hub that I share with many of these users? Obviously.
I think this poor twisted soul was a big fish in a little pond and now is more and more irrelevant except for his nastiness.
I was okay, but I wanted to be better than okay and thank goodness, seek ye first the kingdom of god, words from the man jesus.
Well what did that mean in this situation? Do unto others all things whatsoever you would have them do unto you came to me. Like jesus, my concern was this poor twisted individual's soul, not my own irritation. Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive the trespasses of others, and that reminded me that I've nothing to forgive this individual for. He didn't do anything to me. He did it to himself. And I bear him no grudge.
